Table Designer (TD) and
Forms Designer (FD)

Accredo’s Table Designer (TD) and Forms Designer modules form part of a set of customisation tools that also include Report Designer and Data Interchange. These modules allow you to adjust the software so you can perform actions that better match the specific needs of your business.

Table Designer

Accredo TD lets you add extra fields to Accredo database tables, so you can record information that is unique to your business. Fields added to the Accredo tables are automatically available to data entry forms, report layouts and filters. You can also create your own unique tables. These tables link to the rest of the system via scripting and provide you with storage for extra data you wish to capture e.g. additional categories for grouping your customers.

Make it yours: Accredo TD is a tool that lets you extend the design of the Accredo system in the direction you want it to go. Whether you need more ways to categorise your customers, or to capture extra information on your invoices, or add colour, size and style information with matching look-up lists, with the TD module you can do it.

TD can be used to extend many key tables. For example, it allows you to add fields to customers, invoice headers and lines, purchase order headers and lines, creditors and stock tables.

Forms Designer

FD is a programmer’s tool that allows you to access and arrange information stored in tables in Accredo. Often used in conjunction with Accredo Table Designer, FD is put to work when you need a complex form which pulls information from a number of different tables and presents it in a particular way.

Flexibility is one of Accredo’s strengths. The FD module lets you extend the Accredo software to create forms that can manipulate non-standard data – data which is often unique to your business.

Fully coded: Each form created with FD has Accredo code that allows you to execute specific tasks against your data. In this way you can operate the software using your own unique data, but the forms will look and perform just like the standard application. The actions you perform against the form integrate with the rest of the Accredo system and the forms communicate with other data objects.

Build a matrix: Accredo FD is often put work by our QSPs to create forms to meet the needs of specific business processes. For example, a clothing retailer may want to create a matrix that stipulates the colour, size and style of each particular shirt it has in stock. Using FD the retailer can deploy a form that calls and presents this information in a sensible way, and allows the retailer to store the data so it conforms to standard accounting practices.

That’s important to know
If you are a customer who makes heavy use of any of our customisation tools you need to be aware that there may be ongoing costs to maintain the customisations. Each time we update our software, your customisations will need review to ensure they continue to work with the latest standard release and may require revision to accommodate new features added to the software.
