The General Ledger (GL) module is the hub of every Accredo system – where all your financial information comes together to provide an overview of how your business is doing.

You could call GL the ‘reporting’ module, but that’s too simple, because you can also use it to produce budgets and costings, make adjustments, view historical information and control user access to sensitive information.

Use the Financial Report Designer provided with Accredo’s GL module to produce financial reports that tell you exactly what you need to know to find out where your business is making (or losing) money. Because you design them yourself, you can capture every last detail or obtain the briefest of summaries, depending on your requirements. And don’t worry if report design is not your forté – the Wizard will step you through a basic report design process, and you can develop more complex designs later as your needs change.
Excel in design
When you design your financial reports in Accredo, it’s easy to set them up for exporting to MS Excel™. You can also develop your chart of accounts in Excel and import it to Accredo, or export your Accredo chart of accounts to Excel.
Divide and conquer
Because Accredo Saturn’s branches and departments are set up separately from GL accounts, you only have to set each one up once, with all branches and departments then available to every account. Then produce GL reports on any combination of branch, department, account and sub-account, or, if you are using Accredo Mercury, report by account or sub-account, depending on your focus requirements.

Easily locate the originating transactions of any discrepancies in your Accredo GL by drilling back to data in the source module. For example, in your income & expense account, just double click on a journal line to drill back to the source transaction, and from there to the original invoice or shipment details.

Separate your end-of-year adjustment transactions from other business transactions by setting up a separate adjustment period as the final period in your financial year.
